I don't know if I really have any clues for you or not. None of the specific names you are researching are mentioned in the book. The only bio. sketch on a BALDWIN was John Baldwin of Jackson Co, born 1844 Ontario, and within the bio I couldn't find any connections with your list of names. When I looked in the 1870 and 1880 censuses I could find your Egbert BALDWIN, enumerated in the Wells, Faribault Co MN area (which I'm sure you already know). So I figured that your family must have settled in that area. Then I found that there was a one-line mention of a Robert Andrews (common name, so who knows if he is yours) within another bio of a person from Wells MN. In a bio on John P. BURKE, the following is stated: "Mr. Burke was married June 25, 1876, to Alice E. Andrews, daughter of Robert Andrews." [Mr. Burke had come to Wells by 1869-70, so Alice most likely lived there also.] A huge stretch I know, and maybe there's no new data here for you, since it only mentions Robert ANDREWS' name once here. I then looked at the 1860 US census for Wonewoc, Juneau Co Wisconsin (since the 1900 census listed your Charles N. Andrews as being born in WI; and found Robert Andrews with wife Sarah, and two children: Charles (your Charles Nathaniel?) and Alice (the one who married Mr. Burke?). So, possibly the Robert Andrews mentioned in the Burke bio is actually your fellow. And I see that this family is in Wells in the 1870 census. Expect all of this may be old news to you. However, every small piece/clue sometimes is the breakthrough. Good luck as you continue. Margaret Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
