    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/iIB.2ACI/921.1 Message Board Post: I grew up in the Winnebago area and can give you some idea of where to look for obituaries and info. There's a museum in Winnebago (Winnebago Museum) that has copies of the old newspaper they used to have called the Winnebago Enterprise. I was able to do research on my own ancestors and they were able to provide copies of the obituaries and other little bits of info. You can reach them by phone at: 507-893-4660. They're address is 18 - 1st Ave NE PO Box 35, Winnebago, MN 56098. I'm not sure what they're hours are but if I remember right they're open only certain days/hours of the week and by appointment. They would definitely be worth checking out first. If this doesn't get you anywhere you might try contacting the County Recorder's Office at the Faribault County Courthouse in Blue Earth, MN. Their phone number is: 507-526-6252. If they can't help they probably can direct you to right department to talk to. I'm pretty sure that's the right place though as I did stop by there last summer for a certified copy of a birth certificate and inquired if they got many requests for ancestry research. She said they do. As for cemetaries in Winnebago there are three: Basey, Rosehill and Riverside. I think the one you might be calling the "Methodist Cemetary" is Basey Cemetary. You could try checking out http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnfariba/ and looking at the cemetaries linked there. They do have photos too. There's a wealth of info on this website. Good luck!
