Kopplin recieved the sad news by telegram Saturday afternoon announcing the sudden death of his father at Wausau, Wisconsin. It was 11:30 in the forenoon when the dispatch was recieved and Mr. Kopplin and family got ready and took the 12:25 p.m. train prepared to attend the funeral. It was very short notice, and took lots of hustling on the part of Mrs. Kopplin.

His brother was handling a 32 - caliber rifle when it was accidently discharged, the ball passing through one of Henry's feet - or nearly through. He was brought to town and Dr. Hunt, after some probing, extracted the bullet. March 5, 1896 Miss Lydia Doege, of Elmore, was visiting with friends and relatives the first part of the week.

He married Myrtle between 1900 & 1910 and they lived in Minneapolis where he was a druggist. I don't know that Myrtle ever actually lived in Winnebago. Harley is buried in Rosehill Cemetery in Winnebago, dying in 1944. Myrtle then moved with her children (I'm told) to California where she died. I would like to make contact with descendants.
