I always take those dates in the 17 & 1800s with a grain of salt. A lot of times folks really didn't know exactly how old they were. Since Heinrich C. was born abt 1840 and Conrad was born 1800, it is quite likely that you'll find the family connection when you get into the German records. Heinrich C. might be Heinrich Conrad and be a son that was grown up before they immigrated. I don't know exactly where the Emmanuel Church is. I would ask some of the locals when I got there. Or, perhaps try anywho.com to find the exact address and a phone number for them. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In the cemetery records I found a listing for Conrad Ewald. I am also looking for a John Ernest Conrad Ewald, born in 1800 Germany and his wife Elizabeth born in 1819 Germany. The dates don't seem to match up for Conrad and I have no record of Heinrich C. Just where is the Emmanuel United Methodist Cenetery located. I am planing a trip to Mn in July and will be spending a couple of days looking for relatives. Thank you again for all the information. Thomas Wesley Nash is my grandmother's grandfather through his youngest son Ezra (if that makes sense). I have all the census records verified on my line of the family from 1870 to 1930. I am missing the census record from 1860 and the one I have from 1850 is questionable but lists George Nash and "Rebeca" (which I assume my be Ruth Rebecca Snow) with four sons, James, Clark, Wesley, and Albert. The "Wesley" in the 1850 census has 1843 as a birth date in OH (the census is from Wisconsin). I am interested in knowing if there is any other information out there on this family and to confirm and clarify whether George Nash in Wisconsin is the correct census record for my family. Also, I am interested in discovering the parents of George Nash as I have at least two differing claims that I have discovered while searching. I would appreciate any assistance and would be glad to provide information that I have found as well. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm assuming that you think your Peter Mucha is Peter son of Lorenz, but I need a little more information to work with. I probably know more about the family of Lorenz Mucha today, then I knew in 2001, but apart from the fact that you responded to my email, I don't know why you might think your peter is related to Lorenz. Please fill me in a bit about what you know of your Peter (like, his wife's name, etc.) In particular, why do you think he was born c1866? When was he naturalized? According to translated Naturalization records. My Great Grandfathers name was Peter Mucha. They were from Wasyliw,East Galicia. I don't know if this is Poland or Ukraine. I was always told we are Ukrainian and this place was on the border of Poland and Ukraine. Peter I would estimate to be born about 1860's. I do not know what Country his parents would have from. Would you know if these places are even close to eachother? Just thought I would look for information to see if there is a connection. Thanks.
