    1. [MNFARIBA] Frank A. HARRIS - 1941 obit Please
    2. Sue J
    3. Hi List, I am trying to find the obit &/or funeral notice for a Frank A. HARRIS who died 26 May 1941 in Blue Earth. His wife's name would be Mary E. When I did a Google search for Blue Earth, thinking it was a county name, it gave me this county. Rootsweb index for counties in MN does not show a Blue Earth County. Minnesota Death Index, 1908-2002 about Frank A Harris Name: Frank A Harris Death Date: 26 May 1941 Death County: Blue Earth State file number: 001205 Certificate Number: 001205 Certificate Year: 1941 Record Number: 867765 I have tried RAOGK but there are no volunteers there for Faribault or Blue Earth. I have also checked the newspapers on subscription sites I belong to and it is very skimpy for this area. I do not need to have this info snail mailed to me if found. It can be sent as an attachment (no pps) or just typed out in an e-mail. I only require the name, date and page of newspaper for my sources. I have checked Find A Grave and Frank is not listed yet. Neither is his wife. I do not live in MN so any help would be greatly appreciated. Sue [email protected]

    3. Blue Earth County is still there ... Mankato is the county seat. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mnblueea/ According to the website the BE County Historical Society may have the cemeteries indexed - there are probably several newspapers in the county at that time in addition to Mankato. In 1870 she had been in the same place with her son, Elonzo, but by 1880 he had moved on and is found in Cottonwood Co., MN by 1895. Another son, Silas, was also in the Cottonwood area in 1880. Her brothers daughter Sarah Deuel Wilson was in Mountian Lake, Faribault Co. by 1900. It seems that many of the relatives were in the southern MN area. There are many Blackmans in the Freeborn Co., area also, but I am not positive how they are related yet. Julie Otto from the New England Genealogical society had metioned once in a post that she believed Mary had died in MN so I just decided to post in areas where there were known family members hoping someone else maybe researching the same family.
