My great-grandmother was Barbara (SCHAACK)SCHMIT who married Nicholas SCHMIT. Barbara was born in New Trier, MN and moved with her family to the Kranzburg, SD area. Her father was Johann (John)Peter SCHAACK; mother Anna Marie SCHMITT. Johann/John's father was Henry Schaack; mother unknown. There is no other information that I know about this branch of my family. I am curious if we are related or if you have any information on my family.
