Francois LaBatte named his two of his sons Joseph. One was with his 1st wife Nana Coussi ( they also had a son Micheal) Joseph married Sarah Jane Turpin 3/23/1856 in Hastings, MN. He is buried at Grey Cloud Island Cemetery. He also named two of his sons with Judith Provost Joseph & Michael. This Joseph married Margaret Campbell. He died sometime before 1857.Margaret LaBatte (a widow living with her brother and her mother Margarite Campbell in 4th precinct, Brown County.
