Have info to share on this family for anyone interested. Am looking for info on Sara Elizabeth (Libbie's) sister, Mary C., who married Charles (possibly Powell) Adams ca. 1852. This couple was residing in Hastings by 1860 when the Federal census was taken. Both their children were born in Indiana. Charles occupation is listed as Physician and Editor. Amelia, Mary and Libbie's mother, as well as Libbie herself are living with them in this census. Could the Gen. Adams listed in the marriage announcement be related to Charles P.?
