TRUHLER SR. Charles J. Truhler Sr. of 159 Sixth Ave. S., South St. Paul, died Tuesday, July 18, in Veterans hospital after a long illness and a series of strokes. He was born in St. Paul April 3, 1907, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He served in the Army in World War II and later was employed as a shipping and receiving clerk for the Twin City Wire & Iron Company. He belonged to VFW Post No. 4462, St. Paul, Local 535 of the International Assn. Of Bridge, Structural & Ornamental Iron Workers union to [sic] St. Augustines Catholic church. Survivors include his widow, Ann; son, Charles J. Jr., South St. Paul; daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Ross, St. Paul; two stepdaughters and three stepsons. One of the latter is Paul J. Dressler, South St. Paul. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren. Funeral mass was in the Church of St. Augustine Thursday, July 20, with burial in Ft. Snelling National cemetery.
