DILLON SR. Services were Monday, July 24, in the English & Meeker funeral home for William E. Dillon Sr. of 1403 Concord, South St. Paul, who died at home Friday, July21. Burial was in Newport cemetery. He was born in Trenton, Mo., May 2, 1898. Among his survivors are his widow, Elsie, a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Billie Jean) Hippensteel of Dowagiac, Mich., and two sons, William E. Jr. of St. Paul Park and Jim of Ridgecraft, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Roy (Betty) Hall of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. Loren (Frances) Grames of Shoreview; brothers – Herbert and Don of St. Paul Park, Edward of Dewey, Okla.; Ralph of Vale, Ore.; and Thomas of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters – Mrs. Verla Dennis of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Mrs. Lela Dawson of Kansas City, Mo.,; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of Bricklayers Union Local No. 1, St. Paul, and had lived in South St. Paul a short time.
