    2. Tom Wilde
    3. Am planning to do a complete renovation of the MNDakota website <http://rootsweb.com/~mndakota/>. Would like suggestions from you on what you would like added, deleted, changed, etc. I am awate that the "Dakota County Links" link has never worked right. Will correct this on the new website so if you would like to add a link, let me know; your link must have a reference to Dakota Co. If you live in Dakota Co. and are willing to do look-ups, let me know the extent that you are willing to go to on performing look-ups (i.e. search old newspapers, search county records, etc.). If there are people willing to do look-ups then I will create a separate section for look-ups on the new web page. Tom Wilde <mailto:[email protected]> MNDakota Coordinator

    2. Any relation to Joseph Renshaw Brown or John Wesley Brown? have you checked the Census records? My Browns lived all aver what is now Wisconsin and Minnesota and married into influential families of the Dakota and Sisseton Sioux. In 1862, they lived near Mendota, MN and in Hastings. Later, descendants drifted toward St. Paul. I would especially like to locate the descendants of Christopher Carli Brown and Emma Ross. Sonja

    1. [MNDAKOTA] John G. McKane
    2. Bob Tate
    3. The obituary of him recently appeared in the Hastings Star Gazette. He was my second cousin. I have obtained a copy of the obituary but now find an apparent error in my data. I had him getting married in 1934 but according to the obit he was married in 1950. My data has his parents as William McKane and Aura Kingston. It may be that I am missing a generation if there were two John G. McKanes. Is there anyone who might have further information or who lives in Hastings who might be able to check records at the Dakota County Courthouse?
