I'm wondering if you have any further information on the Theisens? My great-grandmother was Margaretha Theisen born in Cologne, Germany - 1849, married Christian Gassen around 1874. They came to the U.S. in 1882. I don't know if any time was spent in Minnesota, but they were in Carroll co, Iowa by 1884; then in Okarche, Canadian/Kingfisher co, Oklahoma by 1894. One of the children of Christian & Margaretha (Theisen)Gassen was Marie Gassen, my grandmother, who married P.J. Hommertrzheim. P.J.'s father, Gerhard Hommertzheim, was in Dakota co, MN before moving to rural Andale, KS. around 1878. I'm especially interested in extending my knowledge of the Theisen and Gassen lines. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Judy (Hommertzheim) Mohr, Moore

I don't have any Fromm relations that I know about so far. Maybe they were good friends. I have a note that says "Johann was the leader in securing a parish for the village of Vermillion. A small church was erected in the beginning and later a new one was built and named Saint John the Baptist." Was the baptism from St. John's?

He was married to and divorced from Minnie Hathaway who remarried an H. Hall--whom I know nothing about. Both Minnie and Gustav died at young ages and their two boys (Robert and Alpheus) were put into an orphanage for over a year before their grandparents (Ezra and wife) found them and raised them in Dakota County--the Hastings area we believe. I would like to know about the upbringing of these boys (Robert is my husband's grandfather) and any information to help track down their father, his second wife, Mary, and his two children by her, Milo and Etta. Gustav Alfred Stoneberg was born in Sweden around December 1867. Robert was born in 1892 and Alpheus in 1894. Thank you!
