I'm not familiar with a "St. Peter parrish" in Dakota County. (Does this have anything to do with a Catholic Church parish?) Originally in April 1858, the county was divided into 17 Townships with five more added later but none of them were named St. Peter. [For information, they were: in April 1858,Union (Burnsville), Castle Rock, Douglas, Empire City, Berlin (Eureka),Greenvale, Hampton, Hastings Twp., Inver Grove, Lakeville, Marshan, Mendota, Nininger, Rosemount, Sciota, Vermillion and West St. Paul; in May 1858, Richmond (Randolph), Waterford, and Lebanon (Apple Valley); in 1860, Ravenna and Eagan. Hastings Twp. was dissolved in 1860. This info was taken from the "1849-1999 Dakota County 150 Years of History" which is on the reverse side of the Dakota County Official Highway Map 1999-2000, copies of which may be obtained at the Dakota County Historical Society in South St.! Paul] Now, if you are referring to the town of St. Peter, then that is in Nicollet County, not Dakota. Tom

I replied to your message back in December, then never got back to check for replies. I'm sure these Wiederholt's are related since they both came through Grant County, WI. Actually, this is my ex-wife's family and I've included them for my kids records for their mother's side of teh family. As I said last winter, my former sister-in-law did the research and I just entered her information. I show they came out of Kefferhausen, , Prussia, Germany. I have records back to Heinrich Wiederhold, b. 1710. His son was Antonius, b. 1766/1767 and d. 1818 in Kefferhausen, , Prussia, Germany. His son, Nicholas, b. 1795 in Kefferhausen and d. Aug 1857 in Galena, Jo Daviess, IL. I show six children for Nicholas and Anna Fidler, all born in Kefferhausen. On the way to Jo Daviess County, IL, it appears they stopped for a few years in Grant County, Wisconsin. If you want, I'll send you a register of what I have on the Wiederholt line down to 1900. I'm looking for MURDERS! Any State, any Family. I want murders in your family, Ancestry, etc. Would like newspaper accounts. Regular people, the "Average Joe: Murder/suicide cases. Solved crimes, unsolved, witness accounts. Etc. Also: Would like accounts of persons put to death for Crimes they were later proven innocent of commiting.
