Mn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mn/Dakota/592 Surname: ------------------------- The Schaberts once ran a hotel which I believe was the Union Hotel in Hastings. It was on the North side of third street just across from the Wells Fargo Drive in bank on West Third in Hastings. There have been some persons been doing research on the genealogy on the Schabert's back to Luxembourg, but the person/s were from out of state and I believe one person was from Idaho. If you search roots web, etc. or this message board, you may locate the person working on the genealogy. I have information on the family also, but it is, in my mind, incomplete, particularly for the latter day descendants. Bob Olson

    1. McDonough Families in Rosemount Area in 1880 Census
    2. James A. Pearson
    3. Hi: I am looking for McDonough women from the Rosemount area who married men in St. Paul about 1900. These two families from the 1880 census seem most likely: James McDonough, age 51, born Ireland, V3, ED 194, Sh3, line 27, County: Dakota; MCD: Rosemount; Sarah, wife, 49; Thomas, 26; John, 24; Katherine, 20; Sarah, 17; Margaret, 15; James, 12; Elizabeth, 10 (born in Minn); Patrick, 8. John McDonough, age 48, born Ireland, V3, ED 194, Sh9, line 44, County: Dakota; MCD: Rosemount; Ann, wife, 43; Francis, 23; Mary, 19; Joseph, 13; Martin, 11; George, 9; Elizabeth, 7 (born in Minn); Sarah, 5; Agnes, 3; Mariah, 1. These people are all deceased by now, but their grandchildren may still be in the area, or at least known to people still in the area. I think the heads of household were brothers. They lived near each other. One married daughter died in St. Paul of burns in 1903 from a housefire caused by a dropped kerosene lamp. Ring any bells? Jim Pearson pearson@rio.com
