    1. [MNDAKOTA] Cecelia Brown
    2. I do not have much to go on, but I am looking for anything on a Cecelia Brown. I know she died in this county in 1944(approx)Her maiden name was Lavalley. She is my great-grandmother. Her full name was Cecelia Lavalley Charbonneau Morrissette Barton Brown. When she passed she was still a Brown. I do not know who she married or when, for she was estranged from my grandmother. 2. Dan Whittier Balch is listed as #02496 in the Whittier Genealogy by Charles Collyer Whittier. He was the 5th child of Dorothy Dimon Marston Whittier (b. Grafton NH 8 Mar 1816, d. Minneapolis MN 28 Jul 1886) and Dan Shaw Balch (b. Lyme NH 16 Mar 1807, d. Minneapolis 24 Feb 1888). They were married 2 Nov 1834. Dan Whittier Balch was b. 28 Sep 1844. 2. Tom Wilde
    3. Re: my message (23 Jun 2001) about the new Message Boards at Ancestry.com. The url I gave you for the MNDakota Message Board has changed to: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=Localities.northam.usa.States.Minnesota.Counties.Dakota&o=1&maxrows=25&dir=next >>Be sure that ALL of this url appears in the Location bar or "Go To" bar on your browser. If you go to Ancestry.com and look up Dakota County, Minnesota, the link that you get will NOT take you to the MNDakota Message Board. You must use the above url to get into the MNDakota Message Board. I guess Ancestry.com will get around to fixing their link in due time. ;-{ Remember, you must 'Login' with a password in order to use these new message boards. It does not cost you anything to establish a Login name and password for access to the message boards at Ancestry.com. Tom Wilde MNDAKOTA-L Listmanager and Message Board Administrator

    1. [MNDAKOTA] New Message Boards (were GenConnect Boards)
    2. Tom Wilde
    3. Hi All, RootsWeb and Ancestry.com have replaced the old GenConnect boards with a new Message Board at Ancestry.com. As a result, the *only* link at the MNDakota webpage (http://www.rootsweb.com/~mndakota/) that sends you to this new board is the "Queries" link. I will remove the other links (Bibl/Bios/Deed/Obit/Pens/Will) as soon as I can. You may still submit Bible Records, Biographies, Deeds, Obituaries, Pensions and Wills at this new board by clicking on the "Queries" link. Also, these eight new classifications have been added: Birth, Cemetery, Census, Death, Immigration, Lookup, Marriage and Military. At first the new message board may seem somewhat awkward to use but be patient; it really is an improvement over the old system. If you want to check it out now, go to: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=localities.united-20-states.states.minnesota.counties.dakota Make sure that you get ALL of that url in your 'destination' or 'go to' box! Note: you will not see a 'Classification' for your post until you click on the "Post New Message" link. Then you'll see the drop-down box near the bottom of the page, after you've entered your post and surnames. You'll also see that you can add an attachment to your post which may include a gedcom or even a graphic! If you have any problems with it let me know and I'll help out in any way that I can. Good luck with the new Dakota County, MN, Message Board! Tom Wilde MNDAKOTA-L Listmanager Dakota Co., MN, Coordinator and Message Board Administrator

    3. Posted on: Dakota Co. Mn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mn/Dakota/10685 Surname: Wilkinson, Woodhouse ------------------------- I have previously posted my Woodhouse family info at this site. My great aunt Flora Woodhouse (1871-1950) married John H. Wilkinson (of St. Paul, I think). They had a daughter, Mary E. (1894-1980) (aka 'May' or 'Mayme') who never married. They also had a son, Ernest, who had two daughters, Lois and Jeanne. One daughter may have lived in Keokuk, Iowa. Flora, John H. ("Uncle Jack") and Mary E. Wilkinson are buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in So. St. Paul, Dakota Co. I think Ernest Wilkinson is buried in Ramsey Co. Am searching for any information anyone may have on these Woodhouse and Wilkinson families.
