The information about Alice being part Indian has been told to me as well. The only difference is that I was told she was born in Beacon Falls, Ct. It's a small town next to Naugatuck and friends of mine from Beacon Falls have said they remember the Hotchkiss family and confirmed that they had Indian ancestory. That's all I know. I'm happy to hear about a name for the tribe Alice was descended from. Until now I had no information that confirmed that. I'll be at [email protected] until into January if you care to pass on any other info. Some family members have traced the Wedge name back toi the Puritans arrival in 1630! I had no idea.
