    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: chouinard, grondin, britton, cook Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TGB.2ACE/499.1 Message Board Post: Hello Ramona, I am glad to find you.I am doing research for my daughter Jessica Anderson for a college schlorship. To make a long story short(er???) Jessica is the grandaughter of Betty (Cook)Anderson, daughter of Mayme (Britton)Cook, daughter of Clara (Grondin) Britton, daughter of Delia (Chouinard) Grondin, daughter of (and here is the wall) Adeline,or Naflett, or Laflett-Darby(second marriage?)Chouinard (many different spellings). Delia Grondin had sister "Tillie"--believed to be Matilda Chouinard. Family memory has her as Tillie Daloney?? Children of Delia and Joseph Grondin were Joseph Jr., Fred, Edward, Frank, Bill (william), Julia, Belle, Clara, Rose, Jennie or Jenny, Marriage of Delia and Joseph Grondin is well documented as they had the FIRST marriage license issued in Brainerd. Joseph SR. also had a brother Pierre (Peter??) Grondin who joined him in Brainerd in Nov 1883. I also have many other family facts..... Clara, when living had stated that she was 1/4 indian. This would make Delia 1/2 and her mother or father 100%. I am trying to establish this Native American hertiage. Delia and Tillie apparently came to Brainerd from Belle Prairie (Morrison Co). Belle Prairie was the area around Father Pierz (as in Pierz MN) church and a known Indian settlement around 1860. Thank you for any information you can share and hopefully I have some clues for you too. Sincerely, Alice Anderson
