They married in Crow Wing Co., MN, 20 Jan 1871. He was born in Keil, Germany on 18 Mar 1838, and she was born in Galway in Ireland, on 2 Feb 1835. Their first four children were born in Moorhead, MN and then they moved to Alcona Co., MI. where they lived until their deaths. They had two more children in Michigan.
