He fell in love with Lady Ellen Corish and even though she was almost twenty years older than he was, they decided to marry. Her family disowned her and they they set sail to America. She died just a few days before her 100th birthday. Her two children, Margarete Dunahae and Thomas O'Reilly, wre both born when she was past fifty. Thomas Frances O'Reilly was born in Fairbault, Minnesota and came to Deadwood in 1876 as a young man. He was standing across the street the day Wild Bill was shot.
