He lived with his uncle Henry Heikkinen in 1507 Norwood Street in Brainerd. He was killed in action November 2, 1918. He is buried in the US Flanders Field Cemetery in Belgium. Later photos of the same family members were taken at McColl photographers I think about 1900, and I don't know whether J.G Wagner was no longer operating when McColl was.

This is why I would like to know: I have been searching for decades for my grandmother's aunt Alma Olson, born June 9, 1876 in Smaland Sweden. Father: blacksmith Ola (Olof)Andersson, her mother was Karolina Måhlgren but she died young so Alma was brought up by her stepmother Sissa (Cecilia) Göransdotter - my great-greatgrandmother. The family lived in Torsholma Hallaryd parish, Småland, and later on Killeboda, Killeberg, Loshult parish, Skane. Alma left Sweden in 1891 with her maternal grandparents Nils Peter Måhlgren and Bengta. Their tickets say to Brainerd Minnesota and that sounds likely since I know other relatives of Alma ended up in that area. Alma then came back to Sweden, but left for good in 1898. My grandmother thought she lived in "Dakota". Yesterday we found a photo from Brainerd, and I suspect it might be Alma in it but I do not know for sure. It COULD be a cousin of hers but it is less likely. So now I would like to know when the photo might be taken. The girl looks younger but I do think 15 could be possible. They were on the 1910 census but I can not locate them anywhere else. Amanda's oldest daughter Elma married Charles Arthur Russell and had 7 children.
