It has many bio's written up, but they are indexed by Surnames. If you could give me surnames I will look them up and see if they are in here. There is a write up on "the Olsen brothers" Peter E. and Lewis who were born in Sweden. Their parents were Olof and Anna (Lloyd) Olson, natives of Sweden, Olof having been born September 16, 1823 and his wife June 20, 1833. Their children were: Olof, Peter, Jonas, Bertha, Lewis Another Swedish settler named Edward S. Solomonson, son of Solomon Johnson and Lisa Maria. Post some surnames and maybe areas you think they may have settled here in in Western WI and Eastern MN. I'll see what I can find. There are over 1200 pages in these books.

Surnames: Ayer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RGB.2ACE/54.5.1.2 Message Board Post: Rev. Frederick Ayer, whose missionary work had so important an influence upon the lives of the Indians in the early days of the county, was born in Stockbridge, Mass., in 1803. When he was two years of age his family moved to central New York. His father was a Presbyterian clergyman and intended that young Frederick should follow the same calling, but before he prepared for that profession his health failed and he turned his attention to other matters. He commenced his labors for the Indians in 1829 by teaching at the mission school at Mackinaw. In the summer of the following year he went to LaPointe, Lake Superior, and opened a school, commencing the study of the Ojibway language. In 1832, Mr. Ayer spent the winter with a trader at Sandy Lake, where he opened a school and completed an Ojibway spelling book, which he published at Utica, Ny. Y. He then became a member of the "American Board," and was sent to Yellow Lake. After considerable difficulty, the Indians were ! persuaded to allow the white man to erect a mission. In 1836 the mission was removed to Pokegama at the request of an Indian chief. In 1842 Mr. Ayer was ordained at Oberlin, Ohio, as minister to the Ojibways. After going from camp to camp for a time after his return to this part of the country, he settled at Red Lake and there he was joined by his wife and two little boys. In 1865 he and his wife offered their services to the freedmen of the South and were employed at Atlanta, Ga. There Mr. Ayer built a Congregational church and formed a temperance society, which at the time of his death numbered over 600 members. He was buried in the Atlanta cemetery, October 1, 1867.

    3. You could get the paper for the area for 1904 from the Minnesota Historical Society on interlibrary loan and check the paper for the marriage, if you do not want to write to the county court house in Chisago and ask for the marriage record, or it might be in the church that they went to. If someone has any marriage indexes for Chisago County I would love to know. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RGB.2ACE/29.1.1.1 Message Board Post: There was a Martha Johnson of Franconia, who married Roy Fuller: "Interstate Park Press" of 26 June 1897 reports the following: "Roy (Fuller) engineer of the GRACIE KENT and Martha Johnson of Franconia were married on board the boat." The marriage was also reported in the "Chisago County News" of 24 June 1897. This could have been the second marriage for Roy Fuller because I know he was married to a Josefina Clementina Fredrick at one time. Roy Clifford Fuller, who married Martha Johnson, was a son of Nelson Fuller. He was 11 years old at the time of the 1885 Minnesota census. His parents were Nelson Fuller and Annie Lindberg. Nelson was a steamboat engineer and lived in Franconia. A Randy Peterson of Minneapolis is a descendant of the Fullers and may have more information, in case we are talking about the same Martha Fuller. I can put you in touch with Randy if you wish, via private e-mail. I know nothing of a later marriage of Martha to a Mr. Young. I have more information on the Fullers and the ancestry of Roy Fuller's wife Josefina Fredrick, who was a granddaughter of early settlers in Chisago County, Magnus and Ingrid Carlson. Josefina was the daughter of Magnus and Ingrid's daughter Mary Louise. Note: I am not related to any of these families.
