Hi All, I just got an e-mail from Darla Gebhard who is a research librarian at the Brown County Historical Society. I had written asking about obtaining copies of the photographs they have in their Family Files. Here is what she said: "Pictures can be ordered from the family files. We use a color copy system and the cost is $4 per 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. We will fit as many photos on a sheet as possible. Enlargements can also be made, but the cost is $6 per sheet and only one photo can be on a sheet. The Web Site lists the sir name and then in most cases, the first name of the oldest male ancestor that immigrated over. This does not mean there is a photo of that person. If you see a YES to photos, it just means there are photos in the file. We can give you a list of the photos if you wish. Xeroxes of photos can also be sent for 25 cents per sheet. The $10 shipping and handling fee would still apply for each order." Someone hold me back, I can't wait to spend my money! Hi Nancy Thanks for the update on this ... However, I just see one thing that has me curious, and that is that they ask a "$10.00" shipping & handling fee" ... in addition to the cost for each copy/sheet order ... even if there's just ONE copy/sheet in the order??
