I am Jodi Reimer in Seattle. I'm researching Heinrich (Henry) HAMMER and F. W. KIESLING in Brown County. Both immigrated from Germany. I was able to obtain from the Minnesota Historical Society several letters that Henry Hammer wrote back to his family in Germany in the 1850's and 1860's. Unfortunately only a couple had been translated, the rest are in German. Anyone able to translate on this list? The few that were translated were regarding the Sioux Indian uprising and his thoughts on the Civil War among other things. I transcribed them into email if anyone would like some reading. Jodi
