Dear List; I am seeking information on the family of Joseph and Catherine (Kioes) Filzen, who lived in Prairieville Township and Springfield, Brown County. Their children were: 1. Charles 2. John 3. Nicholas 4. Peter Paul m: Mary Turbes 5. Anna m: John Thuer 6. Mary m: Philip Jacoby According to the obituary of Catherine, five more children died in infancy. I am trying to put together a family genealogy of Filzen, Kioes and Schmitz families. The parents of Catherine Kioes were Philipp and Elizabeth (Schmitz) Kioes.
