I am looking for information on the wife and children of Peter Joseph Schmitz' first marriage. From his obituary, it indicates that he had a wife who died during the Indian uprising. In 1864 he married Henirette Buggert. Peter Joseph was born on August 25, 1824. I am from the Herniette Buggert line from her first husband Freidrich William Ludwig Buggert who also died in the Indian Uprising.
