CHRIST STOLZENBURG Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock occurred the death of an old New Ulm resident, Mrs. Christ Stolzenburg, nee Rosena Fischer, at the Union Hospital. The cause of her death was pneumonia from which she suffered for three weeks. Deceased was born December 4, 1842 in Schoenfeld, Pommera, Germany. In 1868 she was united in marriage to her surviving husband and in 1882 they came to America and settled in Lewiston, Minn. They remained there for three years and then removed to Richstone and in 1895 they settled in New Ulm, having lived here for forty years. Eight children were born to this union but only one daughter survives. Besides her sorrowing husband and daughter, Mrs. August Schroeder of Morrison, Ill., the deceased is survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Stolzenburg will be held at Buenger's undertaking parlors Friday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. C. J. Albrecht having charge. The remains will then be taken to the home of her daughter in Morrison, Ill., where funeral services will be held at the chapel Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. Six grandchildren of the deceased will act as pallbearers. They are Herman, Charles, Frank, John, George and Edward Schroeder.
