Mn Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Mn/BrownObits/10029 Surname: Stoltenburg, Fischer, Hayens, Dierks ------------------------- From the New Ulm Review 25 January 1928 CHRISTIAN STOLTENBURG Local residents will be interested to learn of the death of a former New Ulm resident, Christian Stoltenburg which occurred at the Sterling Public Hospital at Morrison, Ill., at nine o'clock in the evening of January 12. Mr. Stoltenburg suffered a stroke a week before and was critically ill since then and was taken to the hospital on Thursday afternoon. The deceased was born on July 1, 1842 at Schoenfeld, Germany and was married to Rosine Wilhelmina Fischer in Germany on December 11, 1868. They came to America in 1882, making their home in New Ulm until 1923 when Mr. Stoltenburg went to Morrison where he made his home with Mrs. Frank Hayens for the past two years. The wife and seven children of Mr. Stoltenburg preceded him in death and he was the last one to bear the name of the family. Funeral services were held at the Reynold funeral home Sunday, January 15, at two o'clock, Rev. Theo. Dierks, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran church officiating. Interment was made in the Grove Hill cemetery.
