Hi List Members, Looking for all census records for 1800`s surname; Laramie/Laramee, thanks Patrick.
The Brown County Historical Society has some of their material microfilmed by LDS. Go to the library catalog at: familysearch.org, search for "Brown Minnesota". The family files were microfilmed in 1990, they have cemetery listings and much more. By contacting BCHS directly you will have access to information they have acquired after 1990, but your information maybe available through LDS. The Brown County Historical Society is a tremendous resource. Jane

Hello Joyce, The Brown County Historical Society has an extensive collection of family files. However, one must either contact the museum research staff by e-mail or snail mail, telephone, or visit there. The files cannot be accessed on-line. Regards, Peggy Tauer BCHS board member

Surnames: Mainzer, Woodford, Foster, Burnham, Cormier Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HGB.2ACE/121 Message Board Post: I am a direct descendent of Peter O. Mainzer born in Brown county to John and Dorothea Mainzer in 1870. Peter farmed for a time in Brown county, then went to Pince county, MN. He married there, Laura M. Woodford. They had one daughter in Duluth in 1910, Joanna Lydia Mainzer, my grandmother. Peter moved the family to Idaho, where he began silver mining. About 1916(?) Peter abandoned his family, after a second daughter was born, in Deary, Idaho. Laura divorced him, and moved to Waterville, Washington. Peter died in 1935 in Sandpoint, Idaho. I am hoping to find more family history, and stories on the Mainzers, since we did not have the opportunity to know from oral tradition. Would appreciate any replies. Thank you, Elizabeth Hoppe
