Here is the little I know about her: Her name was Augusta Regene Hempel born March 26 1875 in Germany. She died June 19 1939. According to her obit, at the age of 12 she came with her parents from Germany to locate at Wood Lake MN. In 1896 she married my G Grandfather Carl Wellnitz in Albee SD. They lived near Albee SD Grant County for the rest of their lives. Their daughter Alice Wellnitz-Ladwig is my grandmother. At the time of Augusta's death in 1939 she had 3 sisters and 2 brothers living and 2 sisters and 1 brother had proceded her in death. I would be interested if anyone would have info about her siblings and parents. Through my internet reseach I noticed a concentration of Hempels in New Ulm I do not know if there is a connection to Augusta. The name Emil Hempel has census records that match the timeframe Augusta was to have immigrated and is in the same age range (3 yrs younger) as her. Thanks for your time. 3. Gene, My great grandfather, Nickolaus Gulden was married twice. He had 4 children from each marriage. My grandfather was a son of the second marriage. It seems that the first family and the second family did not have too much to do with each other for whatever reason, so I have relied on a fairly recent contact with a descendant of the second family for all the information on that family. By strange coincidence I have the name of a Louise Victoria Reinhart, daughter of John and Amelia (Gulden) Reinhart. I'm sure that is not the person you are looking for as she was born a Reinhart and her birthdate was March 24, 1900. But Victoria is not a common name in the Gulden relationship, and there's a possibility that in that first family there was a Dorothea Victoria Gulden somewhere. I don't, however, know that connection. I wish I could help. Leora --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance: Get your refund fast by filing online
