It's always a possibility that I have the wrong information. From what my Dad remembers his aunt telling him, the first wife did die very soon after Betsy was born. Gro Helleckson had come to work for the family, helping around the house, and after the first wife died, Gro married Knute. I remember meeting Julia Tuberg when I was younger, and Daddy went to visit her often. If you would care to share additional information about Julia and her descendents, I would appreciate it greatly. I know Julia was married to Frank Tuberg, but don't have a marriage date. I have Gladys, Claude and James listed as their children and have their birth dates. I don't have dates, marriages, children, grandchildren for them, though. I recently received an email from the great-granddaughter of Carl Torgerson - Alfred (my grandpa) and Julia's brother - a wonderful surprise!
