Ephraim's death information came from the cemetery records, not the tombstone. And on the cemetery records his names was listed as Charles ephraim James. His tombstone simply says Ephraim James 1872-1935 He could have been in an asylum or somewhere. Lucy is listed as a widow in 1920, but that doesn't mean she was. For appearances sake, perhaps? Other members of the James family were in Spokane Washington, that's where the brother George was before he died in 1920. And a nephew I think.
