If you are still out there would be happy to share. I am also curious as to who the "aging grandaughter" is. Sophia Catherine Bruggeman [baptism record Sts Peter & Pauls-Mankato] born 4 Oct 1857 Mankato, first married Andrew Wanberg, 13 Apr 1875; children Bernhard/Benjamin 1876, William 1878. Married John E. Thomas 19 Apr 1888; three children Grace Margaret 9 Jan 1889, Nick, 14 Feb 1892, Nellie Louise aka Lulu Netta, 4 Aug 1894, all born Blue Earth Co. They went to Madras, Jefferson Co., OR sometime between 1900 and 1910. Sophie is alive in 1900, John is a widower in 1910. John and all three children buried at the Mount Jefferson Memorial Park, Madras, Jefferson Co., OR [see findagrave]. Still can't find Sophia, or the Wanbergs. John's mother Barbara Thomas died 8 Sep 1895 [sts. Peter & Pauls record]; possibly buried at Calvary.
