    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. You are so helpful. I had been sent a Churchill genealogy some time ago, and it says that Wm. Churchill died 6 Jun 1875; and that his third wife was Mary E. Minard, married 31 Dec 1870 at Red Wing, Goodhue, MN; and that Mary died 21 May 1905 (thus, the reason she doesn't show up in a 1910 census). Mary married Wm. Henry Butler in 1881 and had three children: Hattie born Aug 1883 in MN; George H. Butler, born 21 Dec 1885; and Eliza Butler, who in a l905 Fed. census in Cherry Grove, Goodhue, MN census is shown to be age 17, born in MN. I wonder if this could be the ELLA you found, maybe name changed by census taker, etc. I have a 1910 census showing Hattie married to a Joseph Butler (strange, isn't it?) with a child Lawrence, one year old, and a cousin, Vern, age 5. I cannot find Lawrence's birth record in Hennepin Co., Minneapolis, MN. I'm thinking perhaps he was illegitimate and records are not available. Lawrence born 22 April 1909. I'm not positive Joseph is Hattie's husband, but the information fits. I tried the site you gave me, but it would not go forward unless I entered information, but couldn't find where to enter name. Thanks again. Linda Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
