    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: SuzanneFrantz62 Surnames: DANE, FITCH Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.blueearth/2106/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've been working on the family of Brewster Dane and his wife Lavina Fitch Dane who lived in Medo Township from 1863 until the 1900 census; by 1905 they were in Janesville, Waseca County. However, their children were raised in Blue Earth County. Children: Cora, John B., Clara, Herbert, Benjamin (also called Moses), Fred and Edna. I am missing any information about Clara who is called Carrie in the History of the Minnesota Valley. She was born about 1867. Apparently she was still living in 1900 when her mother reported all 7 of her children as still living. There are family trees that have her as the wife of Charles Wolfe and that she died in Nicollet Co. in 1950; I have been unable to prove any of this; in fact, it was likely another Clara Wolfe who died in Nicollet Co. Does anyone recognize this family and have any clues on what really became of Clara? Many thanks! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Ephraim's death information came from the cemetery records, not the tombstone. And on the cemetery records his names was listed as Charles ephraim James. His tombstone simply says Ephraim James 1872-1935 He could have been in an asylum or somewhere. Lucy is listed as a widow in 1920, but that doesn't mean she was. For appearances sake, perhaps? Other members of the James family were in Spokane Washington, that's where the brother George was before he died in 1920. And a nephew I think. He died June 29, 1935. There is no information on him in Alexandria, but his brother Samuel James was the sexton at the Kinkead cemetery at one time. Thanks to a wonderful person, I was able to receive this obituary for my great-great-grandfather, Gustav A. Frank. I also have his death certificate, so please contact me at helpthegamer[at]yahoo[dot]com if you would like it. Gustav A. Frank was born in Germany on 25 Apr 1857, and died in Mankato on 07 Jan 1928. On 2 Dec 1881, he married Wilhelmina Ernestina Manthey in Waseca County, but around 1903 they divorced. Family lore states that he remarries, though I do not know the name of his second wife or if there were any children involved. His cause of death was stomach cancer, and he is buried in Pilgrims Rest cemetery. He and Wilhelmina had five daughters and three sons. His father's name was John Frank.
