Author: audreyesser Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.blueearth/670.1.3.2.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Barb, I don't know if I returned a message to you. It is confusing to reply through Ancestry rather than email. My Email is [email protected] I can follow my email better than on Ancestry's email. My phone in Mankato is 507-388-3069. Call anytime, I'm retired. I have the same dates for Wilhelm that you have too. I am interested in any additional info you have on Wilhelm & Augusta (Keuther) Tolzmann or Herman & Fredericka (Ebel) Tolzmann. Ruthann sent her genealogy dates to me that were very helpful because all I had is what is on Ancestry's family tree's. I don't have the photo's of Wilhelm & Augusta's stones yet. ( Is it Augusta or is it Augustine on their stones??)Also is Wilhelm's full name Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm or is it Wilhelm Frederick Tolzmann?? Do you know?? My connection to the Tolzmann Family is through marriage. Herb Tolzmann was a son of Herman Tolzmann who was a son of Wilhelm. Herb Tolzmann married my Aunt Mae Goodrich. Mae Goodrich and my dad Burton Goodrich were siblings. I am Burton's daughter and a niece of Mae (Goodrich) Tolzmann. Herb and Mae Tolzmann had a daughter Lois (Tolzmann) Wilkens. I am doing a photo album with genealogy info for Lois. Lois wanted copies of my family pictures and I have an Ancestry membership so I wanted to add as much of her family genealogy that I could find on Ancestry. Ancestry's data was not complete so I was researching and was lucky enough to find Ruthann and now you for Tolzmann data. If you have any pictures of Wilhelm or Herman's families or any Obituaries or genealogy I would appreciate a copy to add to my album. I will share what I have as well. Thanks Audrey (Goodrich) Esser Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Hi, Would anyone have burials for Blue Earth either Decoria or Mankato I am looking for info on death of Barb or Barbara HETTLER (wife of George) who died abt. 1899 Decoria   .... what I am hoping for is her maiden name. Two of her children married DIETEMAN's of which I have the dates of marriage but nowhere does it give mothers maiden name, this is the link which shows proof and this I need. Many thanks Toni in NZ

It's always a possibility that I have the wrong information. From what my Dad remembers his aunt telling him, the first wife did die very soon after Betsy was born. Gro Helleckson had come to work for the family, helping around the house, and after the first wife died, Gro married Knute. I remember meeting Julia Tuberg when I was younger, and Daddy went to visit her often. If you would care to share additional information about Julia and her descendents, I would appreciate it greatly. I know Julia was married to Frank Tuberg, but don't have a marriage date. I have Gladys, Claude and James listed as their children and have their birth dates. I don't have dates, marriages, children, grandchildren for them, though. I recently received an email from the great-granddaughter of Carl Torgerson - Alfred (my grandpa) and Julia's brother - a wonderful surprise! I have all the children you listed, but had Barbara or Barbro as Knute's first wife because of a census that lists that. I believe Knute's first wife died shortly after Betsy was born. Now I can search for Ellen Torgerson and see if I can find a death certificate for her. I live in Freeborn County so I don't have far to go to do the research. Time seems to be my problem. I would also love to compare notes. My Great Grandmother was Julia Thelina Torgerson Tuberg. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Their son, Alfred, is my grandfather. My dad, Allen, has done quite a bit of research on his family and I am interested in sharing what information I have with you. From what we've learned, Knute's 1st wife was Ellen Olsen. Their children are Ole, Henry, Theodore, Tina, Betsy and Sigri.
