I have done this extensively with North and South Dakota newspapers, and in Minnesota used microfilm in the town library. http://sites.mnhs.org/library/content/interlibrary-loan There is a small fee for shipping and handling. I found a 1916 series of articles about my grandparents' elopement. Many more interesting tidbits in the articles than in a marriage certificate. Happy hunting. His mother was reportedly Hannah McLean (or MacLean) who was married to George W Decker, but not until 1835, three years after the birth of their first child . . . It is also reported that Hannah had been previously married to George Hosford in 1827. Uncertain if George W Decker had another wife, previous to Hannah and am hoping an obituary or death certificate might shed some light on this situation. Assistance is ALWAYS greatly appreciated. I am curious about John & Anna Biedenkopf (or Beidenkopf, there is a variety of spellings) who came to Beauford in Blue Earth county in 1865. John died in 1877, Anna died in 1874. He was born in 1803, she was born in 1813. They had had least 3 children: Katherine (1834), Mary (1843), and John (1841). Specifically, this is what I want to know: Anna Biedenkopf's maiden name The dates of death of the pair (I only have the years) What happened to Mary Biedenkopf Krause and her brother John The birthdays of John & Anna Biedenkopf If anyone else is related to them, or knows someone who is If there are any pictures of John & Anna Biedenkopf Please help me if you think you can -- anything is appreciated! I've looked at both of their death certificates and it states they were buried in the "Blue Earth County Cemetery." Which cemetery is this, does anyone know? I haven't seen any listed as "county cemetery." They died in 1979 & 2003 so it's not too long ago genealogy-speaking. Their surname is EIKENESS. She died on January 26, 1917 at the Coe family home on 449 Division Street in Mankato, Minnesota. She is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Mary was married twice, her first marriage was to Mathias DeMuth sometime between 1856-1857 in or near St. Donatus, Iowa, she had three son's by this marriage: Frank R., John C., and Francis DeMuth. Here Husband Mathias DeMuth died sometime between 1860-1865. Mary then moved North to Minnesota where she met and married Patrick Coe on October 16, 1865 in Winona County, Minnesota. The family then moved from Winona to Janesville, Minnesota then eventually to Mankato sometime between 1866-1868. Mary and Patrick Coe had 6 Children. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who is related to this family or has done research into this family history, and might know a little more about Mary's first marriage to Mathias DeMuth. Also, is there anyone who might have a photo of the Coe family home at 449 Division Street in Mankato? Any help would be appreciated!
