In the 1880 census they and 8 of their children were living in Mankato. In the 1881 Mankato directory, Daniel is listed as a teamster. In the 1885 state census I can't find Daniel or Ophelia but I find their younger children are living with other people. About 5 years ago I ask the BEHS if they had information on what happen to them but they could not find anything. So I'm looking for more information or ideas on where to look. Thank you. Daniel B. A first cousin twice removed is how the family tree program I have describes a woman who married into the branch I have started to work on just briefly. Ruby Margaret Sycks is the name of the person,and her first husband was John Turtle. The marriage certificate between these two was issued in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. Ruby's second marriage was in Chisago County, Minnesota. The listings for a John Turtle I do have presently,one lived 1903-1976 and the other from 1924-1991,both list their mother's maiden name as "Bell". The History Center in St. Paul,Mn. should be of help for me to check out the limited info I have of the 3 John Turtle's from the mnhs.org website too. The third John Turtle,lived from 1936-2000,and had passed away in Blue Earth County, Minnesota,mother's maiden name for him was Gilbertson. As far as I know,no! knowledge of any children with John and Ruby,as well as with Ruby's second marriage. So far,just not sure which John Turtle was married to Ruby,I'm just starting out with this branch,not sure how far back I'll go with it. I would like to prove if he is the father of Andrew Jackson Myers of Millcreek Twp, Clarion Co, PA b. 20 Sep 1836 St Petersburg, Venango Co, PA. Barnhart did live in Richland Twp, Venango Co, PA in 1840. He and his family then started moving west - Butler Co, PA in 1850, Rice Co MN in 1860, Blue Earth Co MN in 1870 and 1875. His children consisted of George Washington b. 1832, Andrew J. b. 1835, Harrison b. 1837, Van Buren b. 1839, Elizabeth b. 1841, Hannah b. 1844, Lucinda b. 1845.
