    2. Judith Walters
    3. Hello, Bill In the 1880 census of Blue Earth County, MN, there was a Forest F. Remington listed with his parents and siblings. He was 7 years old, and his parents were George 43 and Caroline 32 Remington. The siblings were Charles 10, Ionia 5 and George 2. Does that sound like the right person ? They were living in the town of Medo. Lafayette "Fay" died 02 Oct 1905 as a result of a farm accident. I have a copy of his death record. I have copies of his obiturary, which were printed in two different newspapers. One stated he was to be buried in Eagle Lake Cemetery. The other newspaper stated he would be buried in the Lake Crystal Cemetery. Would you please search for a record of his burial. His family was living in the Village of Eagle Lake during the 1905 Minnesota State Census. I think he is probably buried in the Eagle Lake Cemetery. I was unable to find a record of his burial on Find A Grave. Thanks in advance. Judy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: skaduce Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.blueearth/2083/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am at a bit of a road block with my husband's great-great grandparents Henry Haas (sometimes Hass) and Elsa Swede. They were both born in Germany, and came to Minnesota about 1905 (from what we can tell from census reports of Jeanette). Their daughter, Jeanette, is my husband's great-grandmother. I have approximate birth years of 1868 for the parents. They may have died in Blue Earth County, as that is where Jeanette settled with her husband Claus Kaduce. I'm hopeful that information may exist in the county, perhaps on Jeanette's marriage certificate or on an obituary. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone can assist I would certainly appreciate it! Jeanette's dates are 3 Oct 1893 (Germany) - 30 May 1963 (Blue Earth County). She and Claus Kaduce were most likely married prior to the birth of their first child in 1914. Thanks so much in advance for any help! Sandi in Wisconsin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Robert did pass away though. The man you mentioned as Sparky Nienow, was living in Mapleton also. He has passed away ,but it was way past 1975. I worked for 6months for his son Robert Nienow on his farm in 1988 before I got into the post office fulltime, and Sparky was still coming out to the farm then. Check the probate records there also. If the children were orphaned, there should be a record of their adoption/guardianship. These records can be very detailed. Do you know what church they may have gone to? Maybe an obituary from the children will mention the parents and what happened. best of luck- Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
