You can search for a name or you can search for a cemetery. I searched for Eagle Lake cemetery in MN and then when I got there I typed in your ancestor's last name. It immediately brought him up with a short bio and and link to his wife's burial place. If you know where your ancestors are buried, you can always join the list and then post their information to the various cemeteries. Enjoy! Fay died 02 Oct 1905 as a result of a farm accident. I have a copy of his death record. I have copies of his obituary, which were printed in two different newspapers. One stated he was to be buried in Eagle Lake Cemetery, the other stated he would be buried in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Would you please search for a record of his burial. His family was living in the village of Eagle Lake during the 1905 Minnesota State Census. I think he is probably buried in the Eagle Lake Cemetery. Thanks in advance. Author: kenstein Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.blueearth/192.369.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My great great grandfather Nels Nelson immigrated from Telemark county, specifically the Sauherad area in Norway in 1862, with his wife Ingeborg, daughter Ingeborg, sons Halvor, Erik, Thomas, Nels, big Ole and little Ole. They first settled in northern Wisconsin in the Rio area of, I believe, Columbia county. There my great grandfather, Henry, was born in about 1865. Shortly after his birth the whole family, except for Ingeborg(the daughter,I don't know what happened), moved to Blue Earth county in southern Minnesota, where Nels and at least Big Ole homesteaded in the Butternut area. Thomas disappeared, Erik and Nels Jr. and families lived in the Butternut area, Halvor in Minneapolis, and Henry and little Ole Homesteaded in North Dakota east of Bismarck in 1905. Nels Sr. died in 1891 and his wife in 1883. big Ole also stayed in the Butternut area and raised a large family, eventually he and his wife passed away in Lake Crystal, near Butternut. There are many descendent! s in the Butternut-Lake Crystal area and the Driscoll-Steele area east of Bismarck, ND. My grandfathers name was Nels (known as Michael for middle name)Nelson. He was married to Concordia/Coneoraw/Conocoro? Herrmann. She had many name variations and a very interesting lineage. The problem I am having is the facts about my grandfather Nels. He lived and was married to my grandmother in Beloit, Wisconsin until he passed in 1971. My grandmother lived until 1986. My ggrandfathers name was Elias Nelson and the only father back I can seem to find is a father named Andrew that just leads me nowhere. Any help would be appreciated. From information I have gathered there are death records for Christian Bluschke at Immanuel Lutheran Church or cemetery. They might have them on Juliana Bluschke also. I would also like to find out if any of them had wills. I found wills for my ggg grandparents Georg & Elisabetha Mayer at BECHS. My gg grandfather died in Redwood Co but lived mostly in BE Co. I was hoping he left a will there. My g grandfather, George Gerd Henry Mayer, was born near Lake Crystal, 25 Oct 1873, He married Lydia Caroline Laube (b 8 Dec 1878 Mankato) on 25 Oct 1898. I havent found a birth record or marriage record for either of them. I am also trying to find pages from "The Heritage of Blue Earth County" for Bluschke/Hanel. I found the index numbers F227, F228, F229, F613 and F736. The names Laube, Hanel and Bluschke are all listed with the same numbers. I have death certificates, immigration and obits on them but nothing about their life in BE Co. I would really appreciate your help. I hope this isnt too much legwork.
