He & wife Amelia (went by Anna) Goff came to Blue Earth Co. just after 1880 when they appeared in the 1885 state census. They last appeared together there in the 1905 census. Anna is living with a son in the 1910 census listed as a widow. James died sometime after the state census was taken in 1905 & 1910. Am also interested in the date of death of his wife. Thramer-Larson. we cannot find a death or burial on her either. Torkel or Thorkel Larson was Thomas' name in Norwegian, and he changed it to Thomas Larson at some point. His parents were Peter and Sara Aaby-Larson of Iowa, and they had 14 children, so there must be more info out there on this family. thanks if anyone in Mankato can find an obit on this family. I think there may be info on them in Mankato old records or old newspapers. but I have no way of finding them, as we live in Washington State. His birth name was Torkel or Thorkel, changing it to Thomas in America. born in Iowa.
