    1. [MNBENTON] Re: Gratke
    2. My Grandfather was Adolph Gratke, born May 7, 1896, died July 25, 1972.  He is buried at the Lutheran Cemetary in Sauk Rapids.  His father was Samuel Gratke and his mother was Gottlieb Gratke.  They are buried in the cemetary at the Lutheran Cemetary in Popple Creek, Minnesota, outside of Sauk Rapids. My grandmother's maiden name was Ida Clara Fiergola.  She was born May 13, 1899 and died in 1952 I believe.  Adolph and Ida Clara lived in St. Cloud and had 2 daughters, Lu Verne and Mary Ellen.  Does anyone know anything more about either the Gratke or Fiergola families?  Thanks, Julie Kenkel < kkenkel1@cox.net>

My grandfather was Jerome Maurice MADIGAN. He was born in 1887 in Sauk Rapids, Benton County, MN. His father was John MADIGAN and his mother was Mary MONIGAN. John MADIGAN was born in 1850 in Quebec, Canada. He married Mary MONIGAN before 1879 and was living in Benton County in 1880. He died and was buried in 1936 in Benton County. Mary MONIGAN was born in 1855 in New York. Her mother was Jane MONIGAN. She is listed as a widow in the 1880 census in Benton County. I believe her husband was Michael MONIGAN. He received a land patent in Benton County in 1859. Would like to confirm that Michael MONIGAN was Jane's husband. Am interested in when/where he died and when/where he was born (I suspect he was born in NY). He may have died in Civil War as their last child was born in 1863 (tho' I can't find records for him). =================================================================== Sheilah Horman Napp, Sr. Software Engineer shorman@cse.ogi.edu Center for Human-Computer Communication Department of Computer Science & Engineering OGI School of Science & Engineering Oregon Health & Science University 20000 NW Walker Rd., Beaverton, OR 97006-8921 Phone: 503-748-1048/Fax: 503-748-1548/URL: http://www.cse.ogi.edu/CHCC --part1_141.6a69d96.295290d3_boundary--

This message is SPAM and the site appears to be a home-made SCAM. Please do not patronize or submit your information to it. Ron Zurek Benton County Coordinator MNGenWeb/USGenWeb Project

    2. Ron, Please let me know your experience with this site. L.M. O'Konek Re: http://65.10.15.149/FreeGen/Home.html Hi, I have no experience with this site, it looks new, and home-made (e.g., there are spelling errors). I am a little wary of the login, didn't try, login might ask personal information that could be sold and SPAMMED. I think it is too new to tell, and where is this person getting 1 billion names?? Anyway, I would wait for now. Ron Zurek Benton County Coordinator MNGenWeb/USGenWeb Project

    1. [MNBENTON] Re: Subscriber "CowsMooToo@aol.com"
    2. Please be advised that I banned the above subscriber from my lists for abuse (SPAM) of the Rootsweb Mailing List system. Multiple messages were being sent to the List and Digest. The message had nothing to do with the County the message was posted to. When I quizzed her about why she was doing this, her response was I want to make sure EVERYONE has this query. Then she wrote me words I did not understand, when I quizzed her on that she asked how old I was. If you allow her to remain on your list, please beware to moderate her postings.
