It appears that Mary Teets married 1st John Garvin who probably died in Canada. She had three kids, John, George, & Archibald (Archie). John Garvin b. 1866 Canada married Emma Shuttleworth 13 Oct 1887 giving parents names as John Garvin and Mary Teets. Hope this helps.
