Violet Hertel (Nelson) married Robert L. Westfall Dec 22, 1922 in Cook County... I have a copy of their marriage lic. At the time of Robert's death Jan 6, 1976 they were living at 8347 Yarrow Court, Aravada CO I am trying to decide if they had children together. The youngest Robert N. shows in the 1930 census with Robert and Violet age 9 born Colorado... this is a little confusing because in the obit for Gustav Hertel did does NOT mention Robert...so I was thinking that Robert N. is the son of Robert L. I verified with the cemetery in Denver, he was born Jan 14, 1921, but Violet/Robert were not born until Dec 1922?? Hmmmm??? Not sure yet.
