She was 85. She was born December 16, 1922 in Cadillac to Vernor and Emma (Olson) Knapp. She graduated from Cadillac High School. She married Carlyle "Monty" Montague August 21, 1942 in Cadillac. He preceded her in death. She was a member at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac. She also worked in the St. Ann School Lunch room. She is survived by her children, Chris and Don Wheeler of Kalamazoo, Monty and Cindy Montague of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Richard Dahlquist, Cassandra Tegrutenhuis; great-grandchild Foster Dahlquist; Brother Vernor Knapp of Louisiana; Sisters Lela McDaniel of Taylor and Dee Dee VanBergen of Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Rhonda, two sisters Dora and Trixie. Services have already taken place. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery Cadillac. Arrangements are being handled by Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home Cadillac. Published in the Kalamazoo Gazette on 4/16/2008.
