Mc Coon Manton Pioneer, Succumbs; Manton June 26- A.P. McCoon, 72 resident of the Manton Vincenty for 40 years, passed away this morning at his home, three miles east of Manton on M-42. Mr. McCoon had been ailing for about a year and his condition had been serious for the past several months. His death was due to cancer. He was born in Lucas County, Ohio, and had he lived until Friday he would have been 73 years old. he came to Manton and work in the lumber woods. On September 9, 1899 he married Lulu O Thompson in Cadillac and The couple commenced to keep house on the farm where his death occurred. Mr. McCoon leaves his wife; brother, Horace of Owosso; half- brothers Joseph and Clayton of Chesaning. funeral arrangements had not been made today.
