Author: thoffman85 Surnames: Wardell Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.wexford/1644/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm Searching out information about the Wardell family which lived in Manton namely Roy Wardell born about 1884 or Joseph Wardell born about 1855. I hit a little bit of a brick wall looking through records and it looks like although Joseph is listed as Roy's father on some of the census records he was actually adopted probably from a relative. If anyone knows anything about the Wardell's in Manton the help would be greatly appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I searched the census records on ancestry and found info on John Calvin and Anna Lee Sheldon. Your earlier reply gave me her middle name Vilora. The obit should be in tomorrow's Cadillac News. We will bury Uncle Burrell and Aunt Lizzie together (they are both cremated) along with Rose Sparks, Lizzie's sister, in the spring, probably May or June. My brother has talked with Dennis Sparks. The Sayers were wonderful to Mike and me. We could never repay them for taking us into their loving Christian home in the mid-50's. I know he had been ill for some time, but it is still sad to know the last of John Calvin's children is gone. My records indicate Anna Sheldon Sayer died 10 Nov 1936 and John Calvin died 17 May 1939. She had previously been married to Frank Sheldon and they had a daughter, Revina L. born about 1905. I have no idea what happened to her. I do believe Anna's mother was Rosana Lee. I just returned home and am sorry if this is to late to be helpful. Regards, June Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: JeanetteWheeler28 Surnames: Vanden Bosch Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.michigan.counties.wexford/1640/mb.ashx Message Board Post: To all my cousins, I have finally finished my compilation on the Vanden Bosch Family in America with the help of many internet cousins, newspaper articles, web pages, ancestry.com, and contact with various family members. My branch is the "forgotten branch" that of Hendrick Vanden Bosch and his wife Sena Tenhaggen. However I have compiled information on all the descendants of Tamme Melles Vanden Bosch and Gretie Bont our original immigrant ancestors as well. The end result is a paperback 11x8.50 printed book. The book contains 483 pages, over 50 pages of pictures, bios and obituaries of some of the oldest family members available. It contains pictures and newspaper articles from the Holland Sentinel and other printed text. I have found a printer for this book. In order to keep the book affordable it will be in black and white with the exception of the covers created by my very talented, artistic sister. The front and back covers will be laminated for protection and the binding is that of a hardcover book. If you are interested in this book please email me at [email protected] Thank You, Jeanette Vanden Bosch Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
