I checked a few later Directories and don't find any more entries for John Burrell. I can't find a return to the States for them, so it's possible that they did stay in Scotland. I also checked www.familysearch.org for marriages for the daughters, both here in Michigan and also in Scotland, but nothing turned up. I'll see if I can find anything else.
