What I meant was that the family that attended the burial thought it might be a military cemetery but it doesn't mean that it was. I have looked in the records on ancestry.com for headstone applications but so far it does not appear that one was applied for and he is not listed on the US Military site that lists person who are buried in National Military Cemeteries.
