His name is William Maschke born Oct 13, 1862 in Germany/West Prussia and died May 26 1929 in Detroit. He is buried at Woodmere. He married his wife Bertha Schlopath in Germany/Prussia some time before Aug 1888. They came to the US in 1890 with 2 small children Helen and Emil and then had 7 more after settling in Detroit. All of the available census lists them as being born in either Germany or Prussia and William's death cert says West Prussia/Germany. Bertha's just says Germany. I believe that all of the kids that did marry got married in the church but I know for sure the oldest 2 did. Emil was born in May of 1890 and they landed in Nov 1890 so its possible that he would have been baptized in the church. I would love any help in tracking down any documents the church may have that may lead to a more specific birth place for them. Thank you.
