Things to remember abt Catholic Church Records - The DPL [Detroit Public Library] has some church records on micro film. DPL requires you to sign an affidavit to gain access. You will need a "day pass" from the DPL. Abt $10. Most of these records are written in Latin, German or Polish. The records are recorded in ledger books either by last name [like the thumbed index of a dictionary] or in year order as the events occurred.
